Lautaro: The First Cry - Pre Alpha

“Lautaro: El primer grito” is a Real Strategy Game with little fantasy elements in which you command the armies of both the Spanish and Mapuche people as the military leader in a conflict that will last for a hundred years.

This is an RTS (Real-Time Strategy) game where the player controls multiple units of a civilization; either Spanish or Mapuche, whose objective is to defeat the enemy civilization through economic development, the construction of forts or cities, military units, and the strategic deployment of multiple soldiers while protecting or expanding your own territory.

The gameplay revolves around gathering resources, building structures, purchasing military units, and attacking the enemy base, then repeating these steps to obtain more important resources, new technologies, more advanced structures, and more powerful military units.

The story takes place in the mid-16th century, between 1545 and 1553, in the territory of the New World that would later be known as Chile.

The entire narrative will take place at the height of the Spanish conquest of the Chilean territory, with Governor Pedro de Valdivia and the city Santiago already established in the territory after defeating the chief Michimalonco and with the Spaniards eager to continue their conquest southward. Most of the action will take place among the forests and rivers of the central and southern regions, as well as in the few forts founded by the conquistadors.

The game seeks to experience the perspective of both sides in the conflict through the eyes of Lautaro, a captured indigenous assistant who serves as stable boy and personal squire to the Governor Pedro de Valdivia.
